A little family of t̶h̶r̶e̶e̶ four in Malaysia, discovering life with Asperger syndrome, Autism, and Amblyopia. This is our little diary. This website is anonymously written by Abah (Abah is Dad in Malay) but if you try hard enough you can track our real personalities. Not that we want you to, we are simply asking that you not to try. This blog might look outdated from time to time while we deal with life...
Introduction
Welcome to our blog. We will be using this blog to document what we learn and how we cope with Asperger syndrome as a family. It will serve as our main resource for reference and hopefully it'll help others too.
Asperger syndrome is also known as Asperger's syndrome or Asperger disorder, in short AS. A person who has Asperger syndrome is called an Aspie. This term is informal and we are not sure whether it has been published in any dictionary.
We are currently located in Malaysia, and our content will most probably be directed around Malaysia.
As our son is also suffering from amblyopia, we will also be venturing into that topic once in a while.
At this moment, we are not openly revealing our real identities since Malaysians are known to be assumptive and have difficulties to understand rare problems. But it's not a real secret.
We do think however, many cases of AS have gone unnoticed and we do want to promote awareness once we know more.
